The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is currently globally rebranding its spas. With 60+ spas in operation and 25+ spas in the pipeline, The Ritz-Carlton is the largest provider of luxury spa services worldwide. Vienna and Moscow became the first European capitals where the new brand and concept “The Ritz-Carlton Spa” have been introduced.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa is a welcoming retreat from the outside world, connected by a total sensory experience that is unique to each location. 60% of the most requested spa treatments worldwide were curated into a “Global Core Collection" this is available in all of the Ritz-Carlton Spas. Conversely, 40% of the menu is locally inspired – it highlights the uniqueness of the location where you are staying to create a rare encounter. The resulting 60/40 correlation creates a perfect balance.
Five complex treatments were developed especially for The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow. The flagship “Moscow Honey Treatment” combines a soft exfoliating massage, a full body massage with organic honey, an express facial and a relaxing scalp massage. “Royal Massage Ritual” is a four-handed hot stone massage that gently distracts the mind resulting in a profound sense of wellbeing. Two detox-focused treatments, “Detoxifying Cleansing Ritual” and “Ultimate Detox & Tone Ritual”, boost elimination and leave the body revitalised. “Restorative Balancing Ritual” brings the mind and soul back into harmony whilst giving nourishment to the skin.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa offers the guest a spa experience that is unprescribed, spontaneous and flexible. Each treatment can now be upgraded by choosing one or more from the list of additions: ESPA Lifestage cosmetics, hair conditioning treatment, hot stone melter, smooth and firm body butter, hand, foot and back reviver or a G5 mechanical massage treatment. The freedom of choice helps to provide personal, bespoke experiences.
ESPA remains as the main cosmetic brand for the Ritz-Carlton Spa in Moscow. The legendary spa company developed three new signature massage oils that are used in treatments: Relax & Soothe, Invigorate & Energise and Natural.
A detailed consultation and special welcome ritual begin each experience before an expert therapist tailors a treatment for the guest. Part of this consultation is an aroma test with three essential oils for the guest to choose and body analysis to locate the areas of tension to focus on. All facials include an in-depth skin analysis using a Wood’s lamp to identify skin conditions not visible to the naked eye and usage of Clarisonic device for the ultimate skin cleansing. Finishing ritual consists of applying hot towels on the feet and a special farewell massage followed by a refreshing or hot beverage of choice.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow is a contemporary haven of wellbeing in the heart of a vibrant megalopolis. There are 14 treatment rooms including three rooms for couples treatments on the total area of 21,530 ft2 /2,000 m2. Light-colored marble, polished wood, Bisazza mosaic tiles and discreet and refined lighting create a spiritual atmosphere. Aqua area extends for 1,080 ft2 including a lapping pool, hot pool with Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, ice fountains, and lifestyle showers. 1,080 ft2 / 110 m2 lapping pool is lit by colored fibro-optic Swarovski crystals, while the base is decorated with black and golden mosaics creating a “bottomless effect.” Ladies may relax after treatments in the temple-like oval Aurum room with golden ceiling and wenge wood floors. A large amethyst crystal is located in the corner of the steam room offering tranquility combined with a natural energy. Recreation facilities on -1 floor also include a fitness studio and a beauty salon.
